Nabble App — Mobile Application & Website
Operated by Daniel Petree d.b.a. Nabble App
Last Updated: April 19, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy (“Policy”) explains how Daniel Petree d.b.a. Nabble App (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a sole proprietorship organized under the laws of the State of Florida, United States, uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Nabble App mobile application (the “App”) and its companion website located at nabble.app (the “Website”). Together, the App and the Website are referred to herein as the “Services.”

The Services provide product lookup, barcode scanning, retail taxonomy browsing, and price and product comparison functionality for consumers.

This Policy is designed to help you understand what cookies and similar technologies are, why we use them, and the choices you have regarding their use. By accessing or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

This Cookie Policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy, available at nabble.app/privacy, which provides additional details regarding how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer, smartphone, or other device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used to make websites and online services function properly, to improve user experience, and to provide information to the operators of the site or service. Cookies may be set by the website you are visiting (known as “first-party cookies”) or by third parties whose content or services appear on the page you are visiting (known as “third-party cookies”).

In addition to cookies, we and our third-party partners may use the following similar technologies:

  • Pixels and Web Beacons: Small, transparent graphic images (sometimes called “clear GIFs” or “tracking pixels”) embedded in web pages or emails. They are used to monitor user behavior, such as whether an email has been opened or a web page has been visited, and to collect statistical data about site usage.
  • Local Storage: Technologies such as HTML5 local storage and session storage that allow websites and applications to store data locally on your device. Local storage can persist after you close your browser and may be used for functionality, preferences, or analytics purposes.
  • Software Development Kits (SDKs): Code libraries integrated into mobile applications that may collect data about your device and app usage. SDKs serve purposes analogous to cookies in the context of mobile applications.
  • Device Identifiers: Unique identifiers assigned to mobile devices, such as the Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or the Google Advertising ID (GAID), which may be used for analytics or advertising purposes within mobile applications.
  • Local Shared Objects (Flash Cookies): Data files placed on your device by Adobe Flash or similar technologies, which may be used independently of or in conjunction with browser cookies.

Throughout this Policy, references to “cookies” shall be understood to include all such similar technologies unless the context requires otherwise.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies Used on Our Mobile App

Mobile applications do not use traditional browser cookies. However, the Nabble App mobile application may employ analogous technologies that serve similar purposes. These include:

  • Software Development Kits (SDKs): Our App may integrate SDKs from third-party providers (such as Google Analytics for Firebase, [Additional SDK Provider]) that collect usage data, crash reports, and performance metrics. SDKs function similarly to analytics and advertising cookies by collecting information about how you use the App and your device characteristics.
  • Device Identifiers: The App may access your device’s advertising identifier—the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on Apple iOS devices or the Google Advertising ID (GAID) on Android devices. These identifiers may be used for analytics, attribution of app installations, and delivery of interest-based advertising within the App. You may reset or limit access to these identifiers through your device settings (see Section 6 below).
  • Local Storage and Databases: The App may store data locally on your device using local storage mechanisms, shared preferences, or local databases. This local data may include your preferences, cached product information, scan history, and session data. Local storage is used to improve performance and to provide offline functionality where available.
  • In-App Analytics: We may use in-app analytics tools to collect information about your use of the App, including screens viewed, features used, session duration, and interaction patterns. This data is collected in aggregate and is used to improve the App’s functionality and user experience.

The key differences between mobile app tracking technologies and traditional browser cookies include:

CharacteristicBrowser CookiesMobile App Technologies
Storage locationStored in the browser as text filesStored within the app’s sandbox, device storage, or managed by SDKs
User controlManaged through browser settingsManaged through device operating system settings and in-app preferences
IdentifiersCookie-based identifiersDevice advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID) and SDK-generated identifiers
Cross-service trackingThird-party cookies may track across websitesSDKs may share data with third-party networks across apps
PersistenceCleared by browser settings or expirationPersists until the app is uninstalled, data is cleared, or identifiers are reset

5. Third-Party Cookies

In addition to the first-party cookies that we set directly, certain third parties may place cookies on your device when you use our Services. We do not control these third-party cookies, and their use is governed by the privacy policies and cookie policies of the respective third parties. We encourage you to review those policies.

The categories of third-party cookies used on our Services include:

  1. Analytics Providers: We use third-party analytics services, including Google Analytics ([Additional Analytics Provider]), to understand how users interact with our Website and App. These providers may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your usage patterns, which is then processed in aggregate form.

  2. Advertising Networks: We may partner with third-party advertising networks, such as [Ad Network Provider, e.g., Google AdSense], [Additional Ad Network Provider], to display advertisements on our Services and on other websites or apps. These networks may use cookies and device identifiers to deliver targeted advertisements based on your interests and browsing history.

    1. [Additional Ad Network Provider] Privacy Policy: [Privacy Policy URL]
  3. Social Media Platforms: If social sharing features are present on our Website, the applicable social media platforms (such as [Social Media Platform]) may set their own cookies. These platforms’ data collection practices are governed by their respective privacy policies.

We make commercially reasonable efforts to identify and disclose the third-party cookies used on our Services; however, the specific cookies set by third parties may change from time to time as those parties update their technologies. We will update this Policy periodically to reflect material changes.

6. How to Manage Cookies

You have several options for managing, disabling, or deleting cookies and similar technologies. Please note that disabling or deleting certain cookies may affect the functionality of our Services, and some features may not operate as intended.

6.1 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to manage your cookie preferences through their settings. You can typically configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. The following links provide instructions for managing cookies in commonly used browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data. You may block third-party cookies, clear cookies on exit, or manage per-site cookie permissions.
  • Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and website data. Safari blocks cross-site tracking by default through Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP).
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data. Firefox offers Enhanced Tracking Protection with Standard, Strict, and Custom modes.
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data. You may choose to block third-party cookies or all cookies.

If you use a browser not listed above, please consult your browser’s help documentation or support resources for instructions on managing cookies.

6.2 Mobile Device Settings

For the Nabble App mobile application and mobile web browsing, you may manage tracking and advertising preferences through your device’s operating system settings:

  • Apple iOS (iPhone / iPad):
    • To limit ad tracking: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and disable “Allow Apps to Request to Track.”
    • To reset your Advertising Identifier: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising, and select “Reset Advertising Identifier.”
  • Google Android:
    • To opt out of interest-based ads: Go to Settings > Google > Ads, and enable “Opt out of Ads Personalization” (or “Delete advertising ID” on newer versions).
    • To reset your Advertising ID: Go to Settings > Google > Ads, and select “Reset advertising ID.”

6.3 Opt-Out Tools

You may also use the following industry opt-out tools to manage interest-based advertising cookies and tracking:

  • Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) Opt-Out Page: The NAI provides a centralized opt-out mechanism for participating advertising networks. Visit: https://optout.networkadvertising.org/
  • Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) Opt-Out Page: The DAA’s opt-out tool allows you to opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies. Visit: https://optout.aboutads.info/
  • DAA AppChoices: For mobile app-based interest-based advertising, you may download the DAA’s AppChoices application from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On: Google provides a browser add-on that prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, dc.js, and gtag.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visit activity. Visit: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Important: Opt-out tools typically work by placing an opt-out cookie on your browser. If you clear your cookies, you will need to opt out again. Opt-out mechanisms are browser- and device-specific; if you use multiple browsers or devices, you must opt out on each one separately.

7. Do Not Track Signals

Certain web browsers may transmit “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals to the websites and online services with which the browser communicates. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. As of the effective date of this Policy, our Website does not respond to or alter its practices when it receives a DNT signal from a visitor’s browser.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, you retain the ability to manage cookies and tracking technologies through the browser settings, device settings, and opt-out tools described in Section 6 of this Policy. For additional information regarding our tracking practices and your choices, please refer to our Privacy Policy at nabble.app/privacy.

We will update this section if a uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals is adopted and we begin responding to such signals.

8. Additional Information for California Residents

If you are a resident of California, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, the “CCPA”), with respect to cookies and similar tracking technologies used on our Services.

Under the CCPA, certain uses of cookies—particularly advertising and targeting cookies described in Section 3.4 of this Policy—may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, as those terms are defined under the CCPA. When third-party advertising cookies collect information about your browsing behavior on our Services and use that information to deliver targeted advertisements, this activity may be considered the “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.

As a California resident, you have the following rights with respect to such activities:

  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: You have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. You may exercise this right by using the cookie management tools described in Section 6 of this Policy, by adjusting your cookie preferences through our cookie consent banner, or by contacting us at the information provided in Section 11.
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: To the extent that cookies collect sensitive personal information (as defined under the CCPA), you may direct us to limit the use and disclosure of such information to purposes that are necessary to perform the Services.
  • Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights, including your right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information via cookies.

For a complete description of your rights under the CCPA, the categories of personal information we collect, and how to submit a verifiable consumer request, please refer to our Privacy Policy at nabble.app/privacy.

9. Cookie Consent

When you first visit our Website, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner (the “Cookie Notice”) that describes the categories of cookies we use and provides you with the opportunity to accept or decline non-essential cookies. Your consent choices will be recorded and stored via a strictly necessary cookie (as described in Section 3.1) so that your preferences are respected on subsequent visits.

How consent is obtained:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: These cookies do not require your consent. They are deployed under a legitimate interest basis, as they are essential for the proper functioning of our Website. You cannot opt out of strictly necessary cookies.
  • All Other Cookies: Performance/analytics, functionality, advertising/targeting, and social media cookies are deployed only after you have affirmatively consented to their use through the Cookie Notice. If you do not provide consent, these cookies will not be placed on your device.

How to withdraw consent:

  • You may withdraw your consent at any time by accessing the cookie preference settings on our Website. A link to the cookie preference settings is available in the footer of each page of the Website.
  • Alternatively, you may withdraw consent by clearing your cookies through your browser settings and revisiting the Website, at which point the Cookie Notice will be displayed again.
  • Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

10. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We reserve the right to modify or update this Cookie Policy at any time. When we make material changes to this Policy, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. In the case of material changes that significantly affect how we use cookies or your choices regarding cookies, we may also provide additional notice by one or more of the following means:

  • Displaying a prominent notice on our Website;
  • Sending a notification through the App; or
  • Sending an email to the address associated with your account, if applicable.

We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies. Your continued use of our Services after the posting of an updated Policy constitutes your acknowledgment of the changes and your agreement to be bound by the revised Policy.
